-= Hope its not a very bright orange..

Look at the Homepage and you'll see that the orange isn't very intrusive...
It isn't said that the whole interface will be orange... I think it will be just an orange accent in a grey background... (like on the homepage)

As one mobile telephone company said, the futures bright, the futures (bright) Orange ;D

Me I couldn't give a stuff about a colour scheme, it takes more than aesthetics to put me off avast. I lived with AVG for some time before I found avast (five years ago) and at that time I left because of the failings of AVG not aesthetics and at the time AVG was butt ugly ;D

-= My eyes are sorta sensitive to bright lights.. Astigmatism if I'm not wrong.. That's why I can't last long staring at the computer.. I had my monitor's brightness to 0 and contrast to 32 just to feel comfortable.. So maybe orange would be hard for me to see..

-= Sorta odd..? Haha..

Now I thank that looks pretty good.
I thank the stand alone root kit application is very
nice looking overall.
I am not so sure about the orange background/white cross
for an icon.
I have just become quite fond of the Avast! blue ball
icon.
I do not even merge the VDBR generator icon,as I like
seeing both of them.
One gets used to certain icons.
As hideous as the piece of cheese,or whatever Sandboxie's
icon is,I would miss it, if it changed.

I think it's very good to have changeable colors (both screenshot and taskbar icon)
there should be more choices such as blue pink green orange yellow purple black grey ....
same as norton

Say, now THERE's an idea!  Designer icons for Avast!  I'd vote for that.  Purple is my favorite color......the color of royalty.  ;D
