The next horrible thing is the system is a bit old and she has high speed Internet connection with an ISP that requires Norton Full Protection and takes about 10 minutes to boot up even after I removed several auto start applications that she does not use.
Which ISP ?
Mine (Comcast) offers for free a full version of McAfee.  (Thanks but NO THANKS)

Rogers high speed.

If you don't install Norton then they won't provide support.
But isn't Rogers in Canada?
chronoboi001 is listed as being in the US.

This also doesn't have anything to do with fact that the Software in question is apparently not legitimate.   :(

Maybe chronoboi001 is illegitimate  ???

Rogers is in Canada and its founder Ted Rogers passed away a short time ago:

Its about how trusting people get ripped off by those that call themselves "expert friends" whom I call "expert fiends" that is  missing an "r" for rapscallion.

-= That was a royal pain in the head.. Norton is a really big bottleneck in startups.. They claimed it as light but actually, "light" for those state-of-the-art computers..

Light? My top end computer still has trouble starting it up mostly ue to its your subscribtion is about to end messages.

We're not bigoted as we treat McAfee the same.

You only have to browse these forums to see the issues Norton causes even after it has supposedly uninstalled.

It is IMHO without doubt the worst AV for leaving cr*p behind causing problems for other security software installed next. This isn't anti-norton, but a fact it can be a right pig to get rid of as simple as that.

Most other AVs don't seem to cause as mych hassle after an uninstall, McAfee to a lessor degree and AVG8 seems to be racking up some hits in this regard where as its previous incarnation 7.5 and earlier didn't seem to cause any problems after being uninstalled.

If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then we will call it a duck, that doesn't mean we don't like ducks ;D

I would say to that ISP "UP YOURS!" if they won't provide support without Norton.
