I would think that you have a mapped drive connected to that server using a different username than what the installer service is configured to use, so it can't open a connection to the server.  Maybe try disconnecting all mapped drives from your ADNM server machine, then try running the deploy again.

Are you trying to install on the same machine that ADNM is installed on?

Yes I have the ADNM console loaded on the server. I have no clients machines really available to  install the ADNM on.

I ran from command line "net use" and don't see any mapped drives back to server.

Alright, how did you create your package?  Did you do a server client package, or a netclient package?

Are you using a domain admin username and password for your install, or are you trying to use a local username?

Created server package using domain administrator user name and password just like the client packages that I created and deployed.
Under credentials:
domain= edc   (netbios name)
account: domain\username
PW: ********

Well, now I'm trying to figure out where

is coming from.

I don't know which module it can't find, but it's a possibility that your install package could be corrupt.  Try re-creating your server install package, and re-deploy.

Will try.  I even verified my deployment credentials and get the same error.

Hopefully that does it.  You said that,

Created server package using domain administrator user name and password just like the client packages that I created and deployed.
So I'm assuming that you have deployed to clients, and there weren't any problems.  If that's so, then the user credentials shouldn't be an issue.  If you've checked that your server doesn't have any mapped drives using a different login than your avast deploy uses, then I'm stuck.

It doesn't seem like a firewall issue, especially since this is a local deploy (adnm server deploying server client to the local computer), so I don't really know where to look next.  Hopefully someone else can jump in with some good ideas.

Treid again after recreating the whole set up fro server deployment.  Is it possible to manually install it?

Here's the log file:

Yes, you could definitely manually install it.  You can browse to where you have the deploy package, or download the server install package and install from that.  I haven't tried that before, so I don't know if you'll have to manually punch in your license info or anything, but I'm pretty sure that it will see your ADNM server and start working off of it.

Again, hopefully someone else will come by with some additional info and help us out.

OK somehow I got it to install after I used the avast uninstaller utility.  It is loaded as a managed server according to the ADNM.  However, is there supposed to be an icon loaded in the sys tray and able to get to the extended console so I can see what is loaded?

OK now the blue icon is loaded in the sys tray and when hover on it says 5 providers running.  But when click on it does not bring up GUI.  Any ideas?

Well looks like I am having the same issues as others:  Windows SBS Server 2008 with Exchange 2007. MBD Information Store failed to start.  Both Avast4 services and Exchange Information Store services failed to start.  Started manually. Information Store now on line.  I am going to set the Log on add Second Log on to restart the service and see if I can delay start one before the other.

So we let the server sit over night.  Restarted twice and all services started normal.  This was a strange server install but it is working.  Server shows green and protected in ADNM.
