ZoneAlarm 4.5.594 with WebFiltering, and it seems to work quite nicely here, as well.

I used kerio for about a year after i had some serious issues with zonealarm. I just purchased an alpha shield and love it. I wont go back to a software firewall again.

I use sygate and seems to do the job i want, but I'm only a novice with computers.

Don't know a lot about firewalls only what I've read.

Sygate was reccomended to me by a friend who said it was a great free firewall. :-[

Hi guys.
Im a returning user of avast4home.As i can see this av is working better than before and it is more stable now.Well done to those thech.engineers.
Regarding the firewall........at the moment im using sygate which i found far better than zone alarm.Zone alarm does not detect all outgoing connections.At the moment there are too much complaints about the new version of zone alarm.You can check this in Download.com ratings.
So i will recommend SYGATE,it works fine with avast!

None of the above, I never found Software Firewalls to be of acceptable performance.  I use a SMC-Barricade hardware firewall.. Only $100-150 fireware/router, but got it for $30 locally on sale w/rebate.  ;D
