Warning Log Entry
« on: March 26, 2009, 04:47:27 AM »
I have a few lines of this in the warning log.

Function setifaceUpdatepackages() has failed. Return code is 0x20000004, dwRes
is 20000004.

This line shows twice on the 03th March, again twice on the 04th, once on the 05th and 06th, then once on the 9th.

Is this something to be concerned about.

I found that periodically Avast can't connect to the update servers.

As long as it still connects everyday, there shouldn't be much cause for alarm.

I keep my nose out of the logs unless I get errors displayed to the screen, e.g. a Red pop-up indicating the update failed or other hard error.

If avast is fully up to date I wouldn't worry unless errors are physically displayed to the screen.
