A computer dummie needs help with Yahoo email

Hi,

I need simple instructions for a computer dummie (ME) on how to set up my yahoo email to have Avast scan all incoming yahoo email and I have no idea what the smpt or other settings are on yahoo or if they even use that lol. Thanks to whomever replies :)

Well as long as you are using Yahoo webmail (with your browser) you don't need to set the mail scanner. Just keep the standard scanner running, it will monitor files you execute on your PC. Mail scanner is only for local mail clients (Outlook, Eudora, ...).

If you pay for yahoo they will  let you use outlook/express  to get mail
pop.server.yahoo.com  smtp.server.yahoo.com
I think are the settings
check on the yahoo help files
It's been a while since I used yahoo :P
make sure you enable avast to check new accounts
