when Windows Security Center does not recognize antivirus or firewall

I have carried out the below steps with the exception of disabling the security center, rather than stopping and then automatically starting after reboot. Everything was fine after reboot till I went back in and restarted the security center and the same problem resumed.

I have a laptop on a network and the other work stations also running windows XP do not have the same problem.

1. Go to control panel and open Administrative tools.
2. Click on services.
3. Go down to Windows Management Instrumentation.
4. Stop this service. Stop Security Center service too.
    Let them to Automatically start.
5. Exit out of this area to your desktop.
6. Right click Start and choose Explore.
7. Go to c:\windows\system32\wbem\repository.
    Delete this subdirectory ONLY. Let the others there.
    Sometimes, only using Unlocker

Can anyone help here as I have found sending an email to technical support is not responded to in the last few days.

Sorry, I mean I still have the same problem of windows saying that avaste is out of date or does not recognizes its there.

Sorry, I'm empty... sometimes this occur due to remains of other antivirus/firewall.

Maybe you have been infected by a virus called megania.thieft. The virus usually having cb.exe as the generator from pendrive and also in the pc. Do you also having problem with your antivirus updates which it will end when you start it after a few second then you are currently infected by this virus.

no tools to check this virus. Im using Kaspersky, before this antivirus detect by the kaspersky, my fren who get infected experience windows security notified that no antivirus and firewall exist on the computer although my kaspersky business installation complete with antivirus and firewall itself. I found the virus an terminate the virus before reinstalled the kaspersky antivirus back before update the definition to get rid of the infection. After that, the problem solve.
