hi i m new in this forum and with avast
just installed avast and when i try to go to my email
i get this The server responded with an error. Account: 'mail.acn.net', Server: 'mail.acn.net', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR concurrent connections limit in avast exceeded(pass:20, processes:CCSVCHST.EXE[19], msimn.exe[1]), there is a collision with another program', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC90
any idea what to do

you allowed avast outlook express shield from your firewall ?

What the name of your firewall are you using ?

If you use windows firewall

1. Go to control panel
2. Allow a program throught the windows firewall
3. I suggest to allow all ash you find that what i have do

You still have Symantec/Norton installed or remnants of it on your system.

The ccsvchst.exe belongs to norton/symantec and that is what is causing the collision...

Have (or did) you another AV installed in this system, if so what was it and how did you get rid of it ?
