Yet another virut question
« on: April 03, 2009, 12:29:58 AM »
I was searching around for as much info on this nasty as I could, and everything I've found on it says it can't infect windows vista operating system. I remebered seeing an old post on here so I looked it up.

http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=41569.0

It seems that some of the detections were for win64:virut. I for the life of me can't think of a reason for that detection on any win32 system.

Can you say what is the infected file name, where was it found (C:\windows\system32\infected-file-name.xxx)?
What avast! version and virus database are you using? (see About dialog of avast!)

Did you submit the file to www.virustotal.com ?
