After resetting Ip Address
« on: April 02, 2009, 03:28:46 AM »
After resetting my ip address i got a ton of alerts from zone alarm. It was like 200 in a minute. I kept switching until i found an ip that didn't give those alerts. Am i ok now?

Generally speaking, ZA will block a ton of probes to your computer though sometimes you might get an IP address that is not being probed ... well, not probed at the time. Why worry about what ZA is blocking anyway as long as you are not experiencing problems connecting to where you want to go on the net? All firewalls will block many probes though some of them may not show the blocked probes to you.

I get probes by the min from who knows who and I do not care who as long as ZA does it's job of blocking what is not asked by me to come in. One of the most frequent probes that get blocked are from my own ISP.
