Well---------Was just asking for some information regarding it. Has it ever benefited you, in any way ?.
I wear a seatbelt but has it saved my life, would I stop wearing it, no.
Whilst the value of the VRDB is limited, first you have to be infected, it has to be a file that is covered by the VRDB (typically executable files), has been previously covered by the VRDB generation and it doesn't bump into the type of infection that encrypts parts of the file to prevent the repair. So do I still use it, yes.
Now come version 5 there won't be any VRDB so no choice for me, but you on winME will still be on avast 4.8.buildno. and presumably it will still be there, I don't know, but what I do know is whilst it is there I will use it, just like my seatbelt.
