In the Pro you have the ability to choose what is done when a Virus is found.
This option is not available in the Home version, but you probably can tick a checkbox which sais something like "Remember my action for the next alert" or something like this in the Virus-Alert-Box which appears when the first Virus is found...
Don't know if this works  :-\

The same options are available in the Home or Pro versions.

Unfortunately onlysomeone has I believe misunderstood what you want.

Usenet is covered by the Internet Mail provider and as such you can elect for Silent mode (see image), however, this setting is for all email and Usenet traffic if a virus is found. Internet Mail, Customize, Advanced, Silent mode, with general answer No (Cancel).

I personally don't like this option as you are unaware of possible infection.

No, if I had meant that, then that is what I would have indicated.

This particular option isn't that well explained or describe in the help file either.

You say stalling downloads, but also mention Usenet, not surely they wouldn't technically be downloads from Usenet but attachments to the Usenet posts ?

By downloads, exactly what do you mean ?
As that could be covered by another avast shield other than the Internet Mail shield, which could account for why they are still being intercepted and alerting.

It is absolutely years since I used Usenet, so I'm none to familiar with it.
