Chip Online Turkey(Today's Tip): Use Avast 10 years.

One of popular magazine web site Chip Online's Today's Tip: Use Avast antivirus 10 years.  They are change system date before installing. Is this legal?  ??? I posted here because you should know.

No, it's not legal.
But when the date is updated, avast will be out of use.
Also, it will lose version 5 in some months...

Firstly, in a summary, it says: "License of Avast is free, but you may wanna use this method if you don't have an internet connection or don't wanna deal with getting license."

I think they state this method for the home version. And they only change system clock. Possibly this must be also applicable for the pro version. Yes, it is unethical to do this on the pro (maybe some of us will defend that it is unethical for the home version too); but there is no illegal behavior at all, actually.

If the user try to update the avast installation, what seems obvious, he/she will have troubles.
avast 5 registration policy will be different and, probably, won't require user interaction.

That is funny but that wont work.

each key is designed to run for 12months with bonus 2months if you installed the key after installing avast within the 60day-trial period.

The key will expire next year even he didn't update to avast 5.
