What settings do you reccommend for Resident Protection?
« on: May 09, 2004, 08:49:45 PM »
What does one use as settings for AVAST! 4 Home/Pro for resident protection. I run the pro version on my laptop and home edition on my desktop. Shoul I leave everything as normal or high or should I customize my settings. The only plugin or module I use is for Outlook/ Exchange for email and Standard Shield and script  module for the pro version.. I have no need for the other modules or plugins. Any and help would be appreciated. I was wondering what veryone is using for day to day use. Thanks again in advance for the help.

You must use the Script Blocker provider too...

About settings, in the Outlook/Exchange plugin, browse the tabs and choose what you feel better. I suggest you scan outbound email and trust is not very old signatures.

In Standard Shield, depends on your system but you can set to scan every file (High sensitivity). If you do not have too much RAM, choose an extension group and scan the files on open/change operations.  8)
