Macro problem with Avast Home

Sorry, I put this in general but I believe it should be here.

I work doing transcription for a living and I installed Avast Home.  Avast will not let me install my macro for my job.  I cannot figure how to keep avast from stopping my macros in word.  Is there a way to put them in so Avast will by pass them?  I need this program and Avast will not let me do it. Any help would be appreciated.
