Thanks everyone for your kind collaboration  :)

Have installed few hours ago PC Tools Firewall Plus which seems to work just
fine. No conflicts with Avast! or any other programs sofar.

Awaiting with a certain impatience Avast! f/w  ;D

@Tech: speak a little Portugese, Here also a rather large community of people originating from Brazil.

You're welcome, there are many forum users also using PC Tools Firewall Plus.

D Miron, you might want to check this out. It is a GUI to enable more user-friendly control and configuration of the Vista firewall.

I've read a few user reports about it, but have no experience of it (nor Vista. Think I'll wait for Windows8.) so don't take this as an endorsement.

I use the Free version on my Vista system and it is real small and it does all that I need without the bloat of the other firewalls.

Yes Comodo look not bad with Avast! but Vista Firewall is not a bad firewall too
