"HTML:Iframe-inf"
« on: April 29, 2009, 01:42:50 PM »
I've received this warning. As you asked, here are the links that I've visited when I received it:
http://www.facebook.com/
http://www.libero.it/
I used this links every days. Is there a real danger of infection on these?
Now, I'm doing a check on my HDD. I have not yet any result of virus.

well, both links are targeted to clean sites, if you get warning when you open them, it's mean there are something into your own computer, not in that site

oh ok, so those are in your hard drive, not in web site server.

if you still have problem, download and install these programsm update them:

Malwarebytes Antimalware: http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
SUPERAntiSpyware: http://www.superantispyware.com/
SpyBot S&D: http://www.spybot.info/

scan your computer using them, also try to immunize your windows using SpyBot S&D.

And something alike - I've just been warned about possible iframe infection after visiting ( first time)
passenger lists at :
www.ellisisland.org .
Should I be afraid  ?
Thanks for help.

Welcome to the forums, Tess17.   :)

I just visited that site without any warnings. Perhaps it has been corrected. Try it again yourself and let me know if you get any warning messages.

avast has been very hot on these injected iframes and of all the detections I have checked out on the forums all have been good detections. Even did a passenger list search and no alerts.

Like CharleyO I didn't get any alert so if you can provide the full URL, see below.
Check the avast! Log Viewer (right click the avast 'a' icon), Warning section, this contains information on all avast detections. C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashLogV.exe
- Or check the source file using notepad C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\DATA\log\Warning.log
####
When posting URLs to suspect sites, change the http to hXXp so the link isn't active (clickable) avoiding accidental exposure.
