I run MBAM every few months just to check behind avast and its never found anything serious. But on other people's machines that have had Norton/McAfee junk installed and never updated Ive had MBAM and SuperAntiSpyware both find lots of Adware/trojand and even the occasional pain in the neck Vundo detection.

well, yes, those would be useful beside those junk things that you said, but what if you use them beside avast! and avira?

Not that I remember. But I practice safe hex. It's an excellent application and I keep it in case of Bad Times.

The problem is that many of those regulars on the forums, will rarely have anything found by either program as they exercise a degree of common sense and practice safe hex.

However, you only have to view the viruses and worms forums, etc. to see just how effective they are over and above tracking cookies. That is with in most cases they had adaware (waste of space) and or S&D installed, not to mention avast. So they are most certainly complimentary to avast and better that the rest of the anti-spyware/malware applications IMHO, certainly that I'm aware of.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.2.6105 (build 24.2.8918.824) UI 1.0.799/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

Superantispyware and Malwarebytes are specialist on the removal of spyware and other forms of malware. I use them as a backup scanning tool  beside on my avast, if anything slip on my avast on access scanner then its the time I will use them  ;D

@samuelvirucide: Thanks, MBAM has no background service and it's ok, I asked about SUPERAntiSpyware because it has background services...

Sorry, didn't have to "Google" very much at all to bring about a deep distrust of ever wanting to install this. At best it is average, at worst it is some kind of malware, one post I read said the company used to be rogue.
That's enough for me.
