hotmail warning

Why does hotmail show the "webpage could be scam. proceed with caution" message in yellow across the top of the page? Thanks for your help.

Welcome to the forums, upnorth.   :)

You gave little information that could help us help you.

What webpage?

Give us an example.

after i sign-into my hotmail account, a yellow ban appears with the above message. i am looking at my first page with the inbox, junk, drafts, etc. on the left of the screen. i am accessing hotmail through msn.
it does follow to all other hotmail pages. i'm not sure this is enough information. thanks

Ok ... it's your hotmail first page. I can be of little help since I do not use hotmail.

Hopefully, someone else here who uses hotmail can be of help.

thank you. that makes sense. i'll look into that and see if it solves the problem. it is my feeling that i'm not really dealing with a bad hotmail site. your suggestion about the settings makes me stop second guessing.
