Scheduler question, possibility
« on: May 14, 2004, 08:35:30 PM »
I have a question, can you put a link in Windows built in maintenance scheduler to run Avast say once a week?  If so what file would you need to link to, to get it to do this automatically?  If this is possible, how?

You can do it with ashQuick.exe, but you'll not be able to edit what kind of files to scan and what to do when you encounter virus.
Scan path must be entered manually as command line "switch".

Put a link to ashQuick.exe file.
For instance:

"C:\Arquivos de programas\Avast\ashQuick.exe" "*MEMORY" "*MEMORY-SHORT" "*STARTUP"

You can see here more details: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=4297
