Avast 4.8 wont start scanning automatically

I have set my Avast 4.8 to scan every Friday night at 7.30PM. It goes through the memory test and then brings up  the Avast screen. Nothing happens unless I start it myself . I would like it to scan automatically at 7.30 PM every Friday without me having to be there.
Any suggestions or solutions to my problem?

You can't schedule in Home version. Only in Professional.
