I don't know who to turn to. I have avast antivirus home free edition downloaded and working well (I think).
HOWEVER, I have an 'Alpha Antivirus' program that 'popped up' on my computer screen, supposedly did a scan and notified me that I have 42 severe threats to my computer and that I need to download Alpha Antivirus immediately to the tune of $70-$90 depending on what program I choose.
Every time I go to my internet explorer, the screen changes to 'about: blank' and a message pops up with 2 choices: to install their product now, or, continue with unprotection and severe threats. I keep deleting. found their website, tried to contact them and couldn't get it to work; tried their address as they listed: info@internetsecurityinc.com and it comes up as an invalid address. My question to you is: Do you know how I will be able to get rid of this whole alpha antivirus mess? the scan by avast indicates that all is fine....can you please direct me to someone out there in computer land that I can complain to or report....or at least get rid of their infomation? AND, HOW CAN A COMPANY JUST COME ONTO MY COMPUTER LIKE THAT?
THANKS. a happy avast.com customer; snibbets@roadrunner.com...have a nice day!
