-= From what I know, Avast is set to check for updates for every 300 minutes.. As long as an update is available it will download the update & check again the next 300 minutes..

-= I once got 2 updates  in one day.. One in the morning & one in about dawn.. So, maybe, its just a matter of availability of updates..

At the present time, could it be already June 1 in China but May 31 where the updates originate?  If so, he will get the May 31 update(s) on June 1 thus looking like a delay.
