Bart CD detecting SATA drives
« on: May 13, 2009, 04:27:10 AM »
I just purchased avast!BART CD. The ISO updated and created correctly. Upon booting to the CD and trying ANY of the tools, it says that it could not detect the drives. The setup is simply 2 SATA drives without any special configuration. Also, is there an issue with native USB keyboard support? Fortunately, the system also has a PS/2 keyboard port to use. Is there something special I need to do? I should think not. Please advise.

Thanks

With BART 2 you must install, by pressing F6 during the BART XP Pro PE boot (it will say when to do this at the bottom of the window) and then via a FLOPPY drive, the SATA drivers. If you use a USB floppy drive it must be connected to the PC BEFORE initiating the boot off the BART CD. Apparently both of the forgoing will no longer be necessary with BART 3.

I know of the f6 option to apply drivers. I thought it would not be required and should be a part of the kernel. Apparently not. Thank you though for the response.
