Incredimail & Outlook Express

Not serious but...  ???

The Mail Protection Wizard changed the account settings in Outlook Express to 127.0.0.1 and user(login)_name#pop3.mail.isp as it should and it works ok.

I had to setup Incredimail manually and set pop3 and smtp to 127.0.0.1 but forgot to add the #pop3.mail.isp to the username(login)_name and it still worked ok.

Why is the #pop3.mail.isp (ie #pop3.blueyonder.co.uk) required when it works without it?

Also, on both Outlook Express and Incredimail the inserted notes at the bottom only appear in plain text NOT in html messages. (Checking the properties of the email show that the messasges have been scanned as the messages appear in the headers) In fact in plain text the message appears twice ie:

avast! (VPS 06/06/2003): the message contains no virus

avast! (VPS 06/06/2003): the message contains no virus
.

Do the inserted notes only appear in Outlook html messages or should Express and Incredimail be able to display them as well?

This is because avast Internet Mail provider supports multiple POP3 accounts, and this is the way it distinguishes between them (it's probably the only way to do it, by the way). If you have only one POP3 account, you really don't have to have the server-name specified in the login, as avast will use the default POP server you have specified in the Mail Protection Wizard... ;)

Hope this helps,
