Burn freez
« on: May 18, 2004, 11:29:11 AM »
When Avast is up and I will burn a video on DVD, the burn start, stay to 1% per few minutes and crash.

If I Stop the Avast services, The burn is OK.

What is the problem ?

Windows XP SP1 with Nero or Roxio.

Thanks.

Did you set avast to scan 'all' files? Maybe something is wrong while trying to scan the 'big' temporary file of burning.
Anyway, I use both Nero and Roxio Easy CD Creator in different computers with avast at 'High' sensitivity (it means, scanning all files) and nothing is going wrong.

Does Nero is set to scan viruses? Maybe a incompatibility... I'm not sure.

Technical is correct. Also You May not have enough RAM in your computer.  For Burning DVD I recommend at least 640 MB

Does it help when you stop some (or all) of the avast! resident providers?
Or, what exactly do you mean by "avast! services"?
