You're right, it's probably stupid to have a mirror for 2 machines...

But maybe the Roma or other place -- if there's 20+ machines, it may be worth doing (and it'd be helpful for us to test the 2nd level mirrors, too .

that pc is fine now... after another reboot all seems fine and updating works... but now my console crashes when looking into AEB  computer group see the log...

Could you please try replacing the asaAdmin.exe (the admin. console main exe) with the one here: http://cat.asw.cz/~vlk/asaAdmin.zip -- and also make sure to put there the pdb (the symbols file) - to the same folder ("program files\alwil software\management tools" by default).

Then re-invoke the crash -- now the crash report should show more info (better stack trace etc..).

The new EXE doesn't work at all? Or at which stage does it hang?
Can you try restarting the MSSQL$AVAST and "avast Management Server" services??

sorry, i wansn't that clear, it hangs on the AEB group, no answer, no debug, need to kill process... i will restart db and service and let u know

no, nothing to do... i even tryed to run the database maintenance task with orphan cleaning.. but results are the same, apart that this resets to 0 all settings (mirroring, timeouts ... )

Oops, not very good. This is a bug I suppose...

What you could do is make a full DB backup into a file, and send me the file. I'll take a look at it and see what's wrong...

How does that sound?

I've tried the cleanup task, but it didn't zero out anything for me... What exactly got zeroed??

all the settings in the settings panel apart from smtp settings... db backup and transaction logs will come into your mailbox ASAP

OK thanks I got the stuff and the best part is that it does replicate on our machines. I'll consult this with the main programmer as soon as he comes to work
