Windows 7 RC1 - BSoD
« on: June 07, 2009, 08:21:08 AM »
Today I installed Windows 7 RC1 with a clean install. I next installed MS Office 2007 and Outlook 2007.
Then I downloaded the Avast 2009 Anti-virus Professional and at completion of the install I got the dreaded blue screen of death. After rebooting, I uninstalled Avast and everything is running okay. I just wanted you to know there is an issue with the new windows 7 RC1 software. :(

Avast 2009 Anti-virus is a fake anti-virus program. It Is not made by alwil.

This is the site to get the real Avast.

http://www.avast.com/index.html

I'm using the real Avast on Win 7 without a problem.

I suggest you use MBAM to remove the fake antivirus.
Then install real avast from the scratch.
