Hi donovansrb10,

You do not do that on the same computer, you cannot access that one. That was the issue you complained about right. You have no administrator rights there, because you have excluded yourself in a mysterious way or the malcode infection(s) have you excluded. But you can still get an admin account from another computer that functions normally and you can reach that computer from there to approach the "locked" machine. Why are you trying to go on on a compromised computer, if you cannot get into it, start thinking about saving all the data you need and make a total recall session - fdisk - re-format - re-install. OK, I forgot you had no administrator account anymore,

Hi donovansrb10,

You do not have to buy a new computer, your hardware is alright, you just have to wipe the old one clean and reinstall a new fresh Operational System and you can get the rest of the proggies for free online. How to get all for nothing you can read here:
http://www.searchlores.org/bangla.htm
Or you can install LinuxMint, your computer will fly, and can play all codecs, media etc. The only place where you are not allowed to use LinuxMint is in Japan because of  licence propriety reasons, for the rest this distro is a gigantic success for newbies like you.
So you have hundreds of options beyond buying a new computer, which is absolutely not necessary as the hardware etc. of your existing computer is still intact. Do clear the dust out of it neatly and it will run an additional 6 years, but don't touch anything with your bare knuckles, I meant fingers  ;D, computers don't like static electricity you know. Can you hear yours moan now, because you are no longer its administrator  8),

polonus

In earnest do a fresh re-install, because you have written so many postings about it being compromised, I would never trust a Operational System like that to be safe, secure or workable..
You do not know what donovansrb10 has done to it over the last couple of weeks, don't we?

I agree with Polonus here 100 percent.

You can buy another computer but if you're gonna treat it like the old one than it will soon be just as "broken" as the one you have now. You need to stop going to warez, porn etc. sites if you want to stay clean.

Wait, do you need a password to get on the admin account in safe mode?

The Safe Mode Administrator account is there so the clued-in can reset passwords if the clue-less forget them. It has no password by default.
