i was just wondering, boot time scans are very useful and i found out that right now in a 64 bit environment that is not supported. so does the avast! team plan on incorporating this in a later version, if so is work underway, if not, why not?

Hi itachis.eyes!

The best one to confirm this is "igor", but I think this is planed for a future version of avast!.
Possibly somewhen in the time of avast! 5 the 64bit-users will also be able to use the boot-time-scan ;)

Right now, we are working on avast! 5 - which will have a new structure of the "virus database". This, in turn, will allow us to develop a fully 64bit version of avast! later - which is necessary for a 64bit boot-time scan.
So yes, it is planned, but will take some time.
