Is the virus recovery database running properly
« on: June 30, 2009, 11:49:00 PM »
There are 2 blue balls, one with an "i" and the other with an "a". I right clicked on the "i" and checked off to generate VRDB now. It's been 40+ minutes and still says not done yet. So I initiated an full scan with Avast. After doing a full scan, what should I do next to make sure that VRDB is running correctly? Right now the it seems to be actively searching or atleast the "i" is moving.

Just wait for VRDB generation. It will run again in 21 days.
But do not let all your wishes on VRDB. It's an old technology that will be dropped in next avast 5 version.
The most important is to keep avast updated ;)
