auto updates help

Hello

I cannot use autoupdate  , my firewall  (f-secure) is blocking the update

what can I do  .I have to shut down the firewall each time to have it work
Tried differend settings of the firewall with no luck
any ideas

So you use F-Secure Distrubited frewall? Or F-Secure Internet Security? the others need to know. I use F-Secure Antivirus 2004 and have no experiance with their firewall

Shutter, isn't there any way to 'teach' the firewall?
Can it allow the update automatically as any other firewall?

I have done everything possible  the only thing that helps is disabling the firewall
all other programs that needs access to the web are working
