On-access scanner question

When I look at the scanner details, the Internet Mail icon states: Provider currently running - when I look at the Outlook/Exchange icon, it states: Provider is waiting for subsystem to start. Is my Outlook express scanner functioning properly if this message is posted?? Thanks for any comments on this.

This is the same on my system, and is not a problem,

I believe that the OE scanner will only start when you load outlook express, and if you are not using that then the message that you have discribed will be shown.

Your answer surely made good sense so I thought I would test it. I opened OE and then checked the On Access Control panel, and the OE icon still had the same message. So don't know if we solved or not. Thanks for your input.

The Outlook provider is only used if you use Microsoft Outlook (not Outlook express). Outlook Express is handled by the Internet Mail Provider.
