Not content with Melih's blaming MS MVP, Donna Buenaventura for a blog posting by someone else, one of Melih's moderators have gone one step further and posted;

"We should hack her site and post the truth"

So, it seems Softpedia has been right after all...  I don't use any personal firewall except Windows Firewall and I'm not directly affected by the issue.  However, this makes some impact on "free" security software marketing.  :(

This is just side note, maybe not related to the subject but still related to Comodo, I just don't wanna setup a new thread.

Try go to download Free Comodo Internet Security 3.10 (or Comodo Anti-Virus Free or Comodo Firewall Free) and see.  ;D No matter how you click the link from their homepage, it will the end lead you to the trial page of Comodo Internet Security Pro which require your PayPal or credit card info. They say they won't charge you for the first 30 days. But if you have no PayPal or credit card than you could not download it.  ;D They no longer willing to offer real Free version anymore. It is a good sign. At least earning income from products is better than "other method".

It sure sounds like Comodo's gone to hell in a hand basket, Glad I stopped using their programs a long time ago.

Not really a big deal since there are alternatives. :) Like you Marc I don't use it.
On the XP system I'm using PCTools Firewall Plus and on the
Windows 7 systems, I'm using the supplied Windows Firewall.

I hate changing utilities I used to think of as old-reliables, but it sure looks like time to dump my Comodo, especially since recent versions (probably since the intro of Defense+) aren't nearly as user friendly as in the past.

Since I've heard a lot of good stuff about it here and elsewhere, I've just downloaded the installer for the PC Tools one and will give that a try.
Intel Atom D2700, 2 gig RAM, Win 7 x64 SP1 & IE-11, Firefox 51.0
(default). 320 gig HD, 15Mb DSL, Win firewall, Avast 12.3.2280 free, SpywareBlaster, MBAM Prem., Crypto-Prevent

not "FUD".
More a case of "CRED"*

*certainly reasons enough (to) doubt.

PCTools is a really good firewall. Another good firewall is Outpost 2009 free, which is what I use as it gives me better protection than Comodo did and doesn't pester you like D++.

Mike, runing a Celeron 2.2ghz with only 256 meg RAM must be really slow and hampering your 5MB Internet connection.

You should consider adding at a minimum another 256MB RAM and 521MB RAM would be better.
