Hi phesse81

I am not sure how you would do it, but assume if you clicked on "report to Moderator", that may help.
The only ones who have authority would be Administrators.

Sure someone with more knowledge then me be along soon.

You can't click the report to moderator on your own post.

Most people just leave the membership active but just don't use it.

I have lots of forum memberships, a condition of being able to post even if it is only once or twice, if I never go back to that forum I don't bother with closing the membership. Just log out, no one else can use your membership unless you give them your user name and password.

Like David said... you can only leave.
Why are you leaving though?

You see..that s the way I´m using the web.. I don´t like having traces of my personal data lying all around. If I don´t use something for a longer time I quit it. That´s all.   ;D

I've taken the liberty of reporting your post, with a comment "member wants to leave".
That should do the job.
Bye.

Hi my forum friends ,

Someone trying to find a new job and willing to try and eliminate all his or her traces on the Internet.
Recently there was a lady that complained on her blog that she felt miserable at times and she did not qualify for the job because the boss googled her Internet credentials, nothing of his or her business but alas that is the way it goes in times where our privacy is at stake.
Some basic rules never publish online things you would not like to repeat in public, never give them real data like your real mail address, rather give them an address from the days of the old DDR, throw a throw away mail address at them or run TrackMeNot and make a lot of false background noise for Google to analyze.

This is also why certain people must learn to protect themselfs when doing "in the cloud computing", using a share files account or have an account at a virtual computer, this could all mean it is out of your hands,
and this could be the not so far off future for all of us: http://www.aclu.org/pizza/

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!
