You can always add the files to a password protected zip file, and email them to virus AT avast.com with the password that you chose for the archive in the body of the email.

That will allow Avast to detect it in the future.
For generic computer (not avast) problems, you can also visit my forum for help: http://www.jacobytech.net/forum

Poppie, it depends on how severe the threat is when it will be added.
Alwill will add detection for the most dangerous thing first.
And keep in mind that it always is to the user to keep his/her system clean.
Applications like avast! and some others can help, but don't forget knowledge and common sense.
Those are the most important.
Can you please tell us how/where you got that malware from?
Downloading illegal software/music/movies?

your computer is not infected, don't don't feel anything but if you were in my situation, you would be angry >:(
that's why i change to avg to clean my system up

but avast is a good one(better than avg except support). I'll use it when version 5 release

  • If at first you don’t succeed; call it version 1.0

+1.

If you want to keep a zoo, better make sure the bars are good.
Password-protect your virus files in future.
Especially if this is the family computer.
What were you thinking?
I'd be angry, too. With myself.
Windows 10,Windows Firewall,Firefox w/Adblock.
