Network Shield - where has it gone ?

Hi there, i have the latest version of avast installed & did have the network shield installed. But while i was out ( hard at work ), one of the kids was trying to play a game & couldn't get it to run he said ? And was told to "stop the network shield provider" Now, i can't seem to find it to reactivate it  ??? So, some help on this one would be appreciated ( while i take kid to hospital to have broken fingers mended lol )
I'm running vista 32 by the way.

Try restarting the computer.

If that doesn't work, click the avast icon in your system tray, hit the "Details" button on the bottom, find and click "Network Shield" and click "Start"
