Hi den21,

You can re-register here:
https://secure.avast.com/web/eng/home-registration.php

Click on 'My registration key has expired, I need a new one' and fill out the form

Hi,

To enter the license key:
Right click the avast tray icon -->click 'about avast' --> click 'license key'

If you are having trouble, there is also a tutorial:

Somewhat similar question...

I just switched from free Avast to the Pro 4 version, downloaded it, installed it and re-started my PC. At no point in this process was I prompted for my license key, and that annoying red box telling me I've "expired" (which kinda cracked me up since I'm alive and well) keeps popping up. I just saw your suggestion about right-clicking on the desktop icon and providing the license key when prompted.

Will that get rid of the pop-up expiration box? And will I then be fully installed and protected?

Thanks!

Insert the Pro key.
See the tutorial:  http://www.avast.com/files/tutorials/insert_key.htm
