I guess, no choice, just quarantine the infected file manually by password-zipping it. This could lower the risk for some time, but if you are really sure of it, delete it. Always have some support/back-up scanners like Malwarebytes Antimalware.

Hi,

I did not really understand what is happening when I read this thread.
If there is a particular virus that you want to get rid of, try Dr Web Cureit.

You could also try some online scanners.

Hope that this helps.

My best advice to you is to use David Lipman's Multi_AV tool. It uses 4 command line scanners (Kaspersky,Sophos,McAfee and Trend Micro). You can select only one scanner at a time but since you know that Kaspersky IDs it you could just run that one. It is a very handy tool to have because the tools and defs are downloaded fresh when you use it. So you can download the tools on a clean machine then copy them onto the infected machine.

About! this is great.
but why should I then buy avast, and set it across the network, if he does not treat viruses, and the forum support advised me to use other antivirus instead of being included in the base a couple of viruses?

PS. The virus is still not healed

what i talked about was the update of program, not the VPS update... i recently got back from a short vacation and don't know current state, but i'll ask Vlk, why the promised update is not yet available... again, sorry for any inconvenience..
