I don't know how to put a screen shot on here but here is what the message I get says. "Application Firewall Aletrt. Your request triggred an alert. To immediately restore this problem go to your hosting control panel. Security - Security guard and set to medium." I do this but no change. I ran MBAM, through scan, and no change. Don't know where to go next. If it's not an avast problem I guess I can't keep comming here for a solution. Thanks to all of you for trying.

Yea. She still loves me. Anyway I'm not sure how to put a screen shot here so here is what it says. "Application Firewall Alert. Your request triggered an alert. To immediatly resolve this problem go to your hosting control panel, Security - Security guard, and set to medium." I do this but no change. I tried running MBAM, through scan. It came up with five things, Rogue antivirus 2, (two of those), Adware gamevan, Trojan Dropper, (two of those). I quarenteend them. Still nothing. My Firewall is in windows. I'm running XP home edition 2. Well if it's not avast, (which Microsoft says it is) I guess I can't come here for help. Thanks to all for trying.

Hey guys!

Just as basic info I'd like to tell you that you usually shouldn't reply to yourself (or at least not too often)... to avoid posting 5 times in a row you can/should use the "Modify" button and add some text to your previous post... so the problem of "the fifth reply to my own post doesn't work..." wont appear ;)
I know that this is a good way to get many posts in a short time but its a bad manner... (in my opinion)

kind regards

bexar656 when you go to the "control panel Security- security guard" and open it, what does the interface look like? Are there any tabs across the top? If so, find the "help" tab, click it, select "about", and list what it says.

Did you have any other security application before installing Avast? Such as, say, a Norton product which might have come pre-installed on the computer?

I would very much like to see the scan report from MBAM, if you could attach that in your reply. Your machine was (and possibly still is) infected.
Windows 10,Windows Firewall,Firefox w/Adblock.

His problem was solved and as most of us already knew, it had nothing to do with avast!  :)

Interesting since they seem to be the only one tagging the URL as such.

I wonder if Tevion uses Malwarebytes and if it was Malwarebytes which prevented him from reaching that website in the first place ???

hi bob3160,
no, it don`t prevent me reaching this website, i got a warning only.
since version 1.40 paid malware-bytes has an ip-blocker as a new feature.
i wonder why it has not prevented me reaching the website, if this site is possibly dangerous ??
