Foxit Reader, a free PDF-reading knockoff of Adobe Systems Inc.'s free Adobe Reader, has won what its maker estimates is 70 million users worldwide because of its speed and light weight.

I hate Adobe Reader just because it's a slow fat f**k and doesn't work any better than Foxit.

And that is not the main reason, half of the time you are updating or patching because it is insecure, and the software is being attacked online by exploits all of the time,

Not surprising.  I'm tired of updating Acrobat Reader in my office.  It's just too heavy in terms of both resource and maintenance.  Now I'm even wondering if I should replace it with Foxit Reader secretly.  Taking of other possible alternatives, personally, I use PDF-XChange Viewer.  Sumatra PDF seems to be O.K., too.  I could find Foxit Reader 3.x and PDF-XChange Viewer 2.x in Secunia advisory, though.

:lol: I secretly keep an updated copy of Adobe Reader just in case I ever run across an important government form which doesn't work correctly in Foxit Reader.  Adobe Reader also has some minor features I like that Foxit Reader doesn't, but I don't seem to bother loading Adobe Reader just to use them.

Try this pdf reader which has most Adobe Reader features.
CoolpdfReader is also a much smaller program and loads pdf files much quicker.

I am using Adobe Reader, Keep patching as they release thier updates.
One day i may well  change to another program maybe, as i do like using Adobe though.

Thank you for your concern but Alan Baxter took the nuance right:  I was kidding.  In reality, I don't think I can change any existing application except updating them, which is why I rely on portable apps and cloud applications accessible through the net.
