« on: August 07, 2009, 06:08:18 PM »
Hi guy's, just a question on Klite codec, I currently have 5.0.0 installed on my pc, and do I need to upgrade it to 5.0.5 as are there any security issue if I don't upgrade to 5.0.5 like with Java, adobe flash, and pdf programs.

As I don't want uninstall 5.0.0 just to upgrade to 5.0.5.

I see no point in using these crappy codec packs. All you'll ever need is FFdShow filter.
You can find it here:

You don't have to uninstall the current installation. Use the update patch for version 5.0.0.

All I've been using is X-Vid and VLC player if WiMP can't play the file.  To each his own though.  Glad you got updated.
