VRDB and idle mode
« on: May 27, 2004, 05:10:21 PM »
 ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
To generate the VRDB, I choose the option "generate VRDB when computer is idle". Is the VRDB generated even when my computer (an IBMThinkpad) is in 'standby, suspend or hibernation mode?'.  And, how do I make sure it is generated?

Idle in this case means: no mouse movement, no keyboard press... Of course, VRDB won't be generated at high RAM consumption (i.e., when your system were stressed).
Anyway, you can choose 'generate now' and it will wait 21 days (by default) to be done again  ;)
