I have a computer setup as my server where i save all my documents and files to. I have a drive mapped to this computer and whenever i open a word or excel document it opens as read-only. If i shut off "all" Avast scanning providers then i can open them and they are not read only. I tried turning off one-by-one the Avast providers to see which one was causing the problem and nothing changed. It isnt until i turn them all off that i can open my documents with out the read only problem.
I saw one other person who had this problem but there was no indication of a fix.
any suggestions before i uninstall and switch to something else???
