Avast deleting my browser passwords

I switched to Windows 7 and Firefox and Google Chrome both would not remember any passwords. But if I turn off "On-Access Protection" Everything saves fine.
I still want to run Avast though, what do I have to toggle off so that it won't delete my passwords?

That's pretty strange, avast! doesn't do anything about passwords.
What if you don't stop on-access protection completely, but rather stop (or pause) the particular resident providers one by one?
