How to Detect Running Malware Process?
« on: August 18, 2009, 11:07:15 PM »
I know that's kind of what HijackThis does but is there an easy way to tell if a running service is malware?

You can google the services/file names and see what is brought up for the suspect entry in the results.

HJT doesn't help that much if you suspect malware you should run malware scans, avast boot-time scan, SAS and MBAM. If they don't detect anything it is unlikely that HJT will reveal anything.
