New Virus Threat?
« on: August 22, 2009, 12:02:12 PM »
I found this on a forum I browse regularly. I have no problems for now but should I worry for something?

-
Summary
Adobe announced this week that there is a major vulnerability in Acrobat 9.1.2 and Adobe Flash Player 9 and 10.

Through Flash Player media files and specially crafted PDF files, hackers have developed ways to load malware onto users computer without the user being aware.

Active exploits are already being found on the internet

Detailed information
Please note that vulnerabilit only affect Acrobat 9.1.2 and Adobe Flash Player 9 and 10.

As of this time, Adobe does not have aptch for the vulnerability nor are have they posted a workaround.

Symantec and other security vendors are already seeing active exploits to the vulnerability. In response most antivirus vendors have already released the new anti-virus definitions to address the vulnerability.

Affected home users should ensure their anti-virus products are current.

Thanks in advance
