my friend using this program and see this alert. my friend system: windows xp sp2 / HDD: 160GB / RAM: 1GB / System Volume: 50GB

Get them to update to SP3 and it might fix their problem. 
SP3 has many problem fixes as well as performance improvements.

it's a usual error because it can have so much reasons, check what it says and also of course do what YoKenny says

also, you may try "Windows Live Movie Maker" which came with "Windows Live Essentials"

Maybe his windows is a copy not a geniune one!

Yes, personally I've a geniune windows vista in my laptop which come pre-installed.
but you know I live in Iran and here we have no law/rule for "Copyright"!! with USA embargo, people cannot buy legal license from Microsoft. almost everyone here use illegal copy of windows (and every other program...) and I've worked with them (in my friends/family... computers). so my answer to your question is "Yes", I know it, because I've worked with that.
