why is johnquiggin still banned
« on: July 29, 2009, 02:04:22 PM »
This has been going on for a month now, and the site is back up and running.  I can browse it through my secure firewall at work, but not with my home avast edition!

Is there any way to get around this message?

Hi notthinking,

It would appear that they may not have successfully removed the infections that got them blacklisted in the first place.

See this thread from June
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=46070.0

Just because you can browse at work, it doesn't mean that it is not infected, it may simply mean that whatever is used ther may not be able to detect the infection.

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

JSure Javascript Checker found 3 warnings.

Network Shield still doing a good job blocking it.

thanks all, the site is now working fine... must have just taken time to come through the filtering system or something.
