VRDB usability
« on: September 12, 2009, 04:00:08 PM »
Hello! :)

1) Can I change VRDB options - to scan for "integrity" in few directiries only (for example: C:\Program files, C:\Windows and C:\Documents and Settings) - and only on 1 HDD?
I have 4 HDD in my PC and VRDB work about 20-24 hours :(

2) Can I see - copies of what files VRDB save (how to see list of this files)?

Thank`s all!

No, there are no adjustments and it 'isn't' a back-up tool, it only includes certain files in its generations, e.g. executable system files, etc.

The same for what files are included.

The VRDB is not long for this life as it will not be in the new avast 5.0 version.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.4.6112 (build 24.4.9067.762) UI 1.0.803/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

I won't worry about VRDB... It will be dropped.
But, like David said, all executables files (.exe, .com, etc.) will have info collected into VRDB.
The best things in life are free.
